KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 2: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse today chaired the meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) and approved 554 cases under the Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan) scheme.
The aim of the meeting was to review and approve applications submitted by young aspiring entrepreneurs under the Mission YUVA initiative, which aims to provide financial assistance and capacity-building support to youth for starting and sustaining their businesses so that they can earn their livelihood.
The meeting held detailed deliberations on the applications received. After careful scrutiny and discussions, the Committee approved 554 eligible cases for further financial support and guidance.
Speaking on the occasion, DC highlighted the importance of Mission YUVA in empowering local youth and helping them build sustainable livelihoods. He emphasized the need for intensifying the awareness campaigns and directed the concerned departments to reach out to more eligible youth and encourage their participation in the scheme.
He also reviewed the bank branch wise performance about already sanctioned cases and stressed upon the concerned branch heads to ensure speedy disbursement of the cases.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kupwara, General Manager DIC, Assistant Director Employment, LDM, officers from, Social Welfare, JKEDI and other concerned officials.
