DODA, SEPTEMBER 29: The District Level Kala Utsav 2025 under Samagra Shiksha was organised today here at Doda Town Hall amid the participation of school Children from across the District. The cultural event witnessed a vibrant display of talent by the students representing different educational zones of the district.
The programme was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner Harvinder Singh, who lit the ceremonial lamp in the presence of District Education Planning Officer, Programme Officer ICDS, Chief Planning Officer and Principal GHSS Girls.
Students who had earlier qualified at the zonal level events mesmerized the audience with their performances in diverse art forms including singing, dancing, instrumental music and visual arts (2D/3D painting).
The festival, organized as per Samagra Shiksha norms, aims to celebrate and promote the rich cultural diversity of India while providing students a platform to showcase their creativity and talent.
A total of 170 students from 10 educational zones of the district took part in the festival, making it one of the most vibrant editions in the recent years.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Harvinder Singh appreciated the Education Department for nurturing young talent. Programme Officer ICDS Akhter Hussain Qazi, the Guest of Honour also encouraged the participants and lauded their performances.
The winners of the District level event will represent Doda at the Divisional Level Kala Utsav, scheduled to be held in Jammu.
This event was held under the overall supervision of the Cultural and Educational Wing of the School Education Department. Principal GHSS Girls was designated as the Nodal Officer while Teacher Manzoor Ahmed acted as the District Coordinator.
The day-long event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the winners were felicitated in the presence of the District Development Commissioner and District Education Planning Officer Doda.
