KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 23: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv 2025 campaign, a series of impactful initiatives were conducted across District Kishtwar today under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma. The events focused on environmental conservation, cleanliness, health, nutrition, women empowerment and community welfare.

The Municipal Council (MC) Kishtwar led a mega cleanliness drive on the Historic Chowgan Grounds, engaging officials and Swachta Executives. The campaign also included a door-to-door awareness drive on waste segregation, promoting the use of the Swachhata App and encouraging citizens to minimize single-use plastics for a cleaner and greener Kishtwar.

The Government ITI organised activities focusing on women empowerment through skill development.
The Social Welfare Department organized a painting competition on environment conservation and hazards of drug abuse at the Girl Child Care Institute “Parisha,” followed by a cleanliness drive.

The ICDS Department organised orientation training for the workers of all Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) across the district, for identifying and monitoring severely and moderately acute malnourished (SAM/MAM) children using growth monitoring devices and appetite tests.

Similarly, Health, Rural Development, ICDS, Forest, Education and Social Welfare departments conducted awareness and outreach programs across subdivisions, tehsils and blocks, ensuring widespread community engagement and reinforcing the values of civic responsibility and environmental stewardship.

Day 07 of Sewa Parv 2025 exemplified the spirit of “Seva, Sankalp, and Samarpan,” bringing together citizens from all walks of life to work towards a sustainable, healthy and progressive Kishtwar.
