RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 23: Continuing its commitment to public welfare under the ongoing Sewa Parv, the District Administration Ramban, under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, today organized a series of Specialized Health Camps across the district under the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’.
A Specialized Health Camp was held at NTPHC Nowgam, while two additional camps were organized at AAM SC Kudgi and AAM SC Chamalwas to deliver essential healthcare services at the grassroots level. These camps primarily focused on women and children’s health, ensuring that preventive healthcare reaches the most vulnerable sections of the society.
During the camps, screening was conducted for Non-Communicable Diseases such as Hypertension, Diabetes, and Oral, Breast and Cervical Cancer. Antenatal check-ups (ANCs) for pregnant women and screening for anaemia were also undertaken. In addition, vaccination of children and screening for Tuberculosis (T.B.) were carried out, alongside enrolment of beneficiaries under the Nikshay Mitra initiative.
Extensive counselling sessions on menstrual hygiene, nutrition and various other health-related programmes were also organized to raise awareness at the grassroots level. To extend benefits of health and social security schemes to all eligible beneficiaries, generation of AB-PMJAY and Vay Vandana Cards was facilitated during the camps.
The health camps form part of the District Administration’s broader effort to make healthcare accessible and to spread awareness on critical health issues, especially among women and children. Meanwhile, other line departments also conducted parallel activities to provide public services at the citizens’ doorsteps in line with the objectives of Sewa Parv.
