REASI, SEPTEMBER 23: The 7th day of Sewa Parv in District Reasi saw active participation from various departments with a focus on cleanliness, health, and public welfare. The Rural Development Department (RDD) celebrated “Clean Green Utsav” with an eco-friendly and zero-waste motto, promoting sustainable practices among the citizens.

The Municipal Council Reasi conducted several initiatives under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. A plantation drive was held at the Old Kalka Mata Temple Heritage Area in Ward No. 3, besides cleanliness drives at the Bus Stand and around the District Sports Stadium.

Additionally, the Municipal staff carried out a door-to-door awareness campaign in Wards 7 and 8, educating residents about proper waste segregation and solid waste management.

The Health Department organized 56 screening and speciality camps across the district. Residents were screened for hypertension, diabetes, tuberculosis and anemia. Child vaccinations were administered and antenatal check-ups (ANC) for women were conducted to ensure maternal and child health.

Other departments also contributed through various awareness and service activities, reinforcing the collective spirit of Sewa Parv. The week-long celebrations have seen enthusiastic participation from citizens and officials alike, reflecting Reasi’s commitment to cleanliness, health and community welfare.
