Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar celebrated Teachers’ Day

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 05: Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar celebrated Teachers’ Day with traditional zeal and enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s second President and a distinguished scholar.

In his keynote address, the Principal, Prof. Aijaz Ahmad Hakak, emphasized the importance of adaptability in the ever-evolving role of educators. He urged teachers to embrace new technologies and teaching methodologies to meet the changing needs of 21st-century learners.

Prof. Hakak also addressed the students, stressing the importance of cultivating qualities such as honesty, dedication, and truthfulness as essential foundations for success in their academic and professional lives.

Earlier, the programme commenced with an insightful introductory lecture on the significance of Teachers’ Day by Professor Mohammad Zubair Ud Din, Head of the History Department. He highlighted the pivotal role teachers play in shaping society and nurturing future generations.

The event featured a cultural programme organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and Cultural Wing. Students showcased their talents through a series of performances.
