JAMMU, AUGUST 10: Government College of Education (GCOE), Jammu organized the singing of the National Song “Vande Mataram” and a plantation drive under the initiative “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam,” to pay tributes to the brave martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.
The event was coordinated by NSS Officer Shubhra Jamwal and witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students. The participants joined in singing Vande Mataram and planted saplings in honour and memory of the martyrs. The initiative beautifully combined patriotism, remembrance and environmental responsibility.
Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar appreciated the sincere efforts of the NSS Unit and applauded the enthusiastic participation of the faculty and students. She highlighted the importance of nurturing patriotic values among young learners while encouraging them to contribute meaningfully towards environmental conservation.
The programme concluded with a collective resolve to remember the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes through responsible action and to contribute towards a greener, stronger and more patriotic India.
