GDC Ramgarh celebrates 55th NSS Foundation Day

SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 24: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit ‘Prabha” of Government Degree College, Ramgarh celebrated 55th NSS Foundation Day, honoring the establishment of NSS, a journey dedicated to serving and strengthening our communities.

The event was held under the patronage and guidance of the Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra.

Principal highlighted the importance of community service stating “NSS is a powerful platform for students to develop leadership qualities and a sense of responsibility towards society.” She encouraged the students to embrace the values of service and dedication.

The celebration included an informative session by the NSS Advisory Committee including Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Sandeep Kumari and Dr. Shivali Panjgotra. The session highlighted the aim of NSS which focuses on encouraging social responsibility, personal growth and community engagement among students.

The motto of NSS “Not Me But You” was emphasized, reminding participants of the importance of selfless service and prioritizing the needs of others. Attendees also learned how they can make a difference in their communities and the invaluable experiences that come with service.
