BANDIPORA, AUGUST 10: The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 witnessed enthusiastic participation across District Bandipora on Monday, with various departments, educational institutions, youth, sports persons and community-level institutions organising a range of activities to showcase patriotism, unity and pride in the national flag.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Bandipora, organised a Girls Cricket Match at Wangipora as part of the campaign. The sporting activity provided young girls an opportunity to showcase their talent, teamwork and sporting spirit while reinforcing the message of unity and patriotism. Har Ghar Tiranga rallies were also conducted across different institutions and zones with enthusiastic participation from students, athletes, staff and young sports enthusiasts.
A Tiranga Vehicle Rally was also organised by ARTO Bandipora, with enthusiastic participation from the ARTO, staff members and commercial vehicle drivers. The rally reflected the collective spirit of patriotism, unity and pride in the Tricolour.
The ICDS Department also participated in the campaign through various activities at Anganwadi Centres across the district, involving children and the community and spreading awareness about the national flag, patriotism and civic responsibility.
As part of the campaign, cleanliness activities were undertaken at WSS in Dawar, highlighting the importance of cleanliness and proper upkeep of public assets. Cleanliness drives were also conducted at Panchayat Kehnusa, Panchayat Aloosa B and Panchayat Aloosa Ghat of Block Aloosa, promoting cleanliness and community participation. Tiranga rallies were additionally organised at local schools in Panchayat Kehnusa and Panchayat Ashtengoo of Block Aloosa, with enthusiastic participation.
At H.K.M. Government Degree College Bandipora, a Tiranga Rangoli Competition was organised, with students showcasing their creativity through patriotic-themed rangoli designs.
Similarly, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Ajas organised an awareness and participation activity, with faculty members taking part in the programme and highlighting the significance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Independence Day celebrations, patriotism, national unity and respect for the national flag.
A mega Tiranga Rally was organised by HSS Nowgam, in which all schools of the cluster participated with enthusiasm. Students carried the Tricolour, sang patriotic songs and paid tribute to the martyrs. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of HSS Nowgam delivered an inspirational message on the significance and objective of the campaign and flagged off the rally.
Various other Tiranga-themed activities, including quizzes, flag displays and creative activities, were also organised by educational institutions, reflecting active participation across the district.
The activities were held as part of the district-wide programme for Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 and commemoration of 150 years of “Vande Mataram”, aimed at fostering patriotic spirit, public participation, unity and respect for the Tricolour across Bandipora.
