Bandipora,20 Sep: HKM Degree College Bandipora organized Campus Cleanliness Drive as part of Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations on 20-09-2023. The event aimed to honor Gandhi’s principles of cleanliness and hygiene.
The event also aimed to instil a sense of responsibility among students for cleanliness and promote a cleaner environment within the campus in alignment with Gandhiji’s vision of cleaner India. The faculty, students and NSS Volunteers participated in the drive.
The volunteers collected garbage from the campus and removed the unwanted weeds all along the road side. The volunteers collected all the litter and debris in the dust bins. The teams also visited the campus Lavatories to ensure that they are clean, safe and in proper conditions.
The collected waste was later dumped at designated disposal site. The cleanliness drive was co-ordinated by the Cleanliness, Landscape, Beautification, Estates Committee and NSS Units of the College.
