BANDIPORA, AUGUST 28: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, on Thursday conducted an extensive tour of Sumbal sub-division to assess the situation arising out of inclement weather conditions and to take stock of essential services in the area.
During the visit, DC inspected Community Health Centre Sumbal, Asham area, Hajin town, Municipal Committee Hajin office and Naninara Bridge, to review preparedness measures and ensure timely response to any exigency. She also interacted with officials to assess ground-level issues and directed the concerned departments to remain alert for quick redressal of public grievances.
At Community Health Centre, Sumbal, she inspected patient care facilities, interacted with medical staff, and emphasized the importance of maintaining emergency preparedness to deal with any exigency. In the Hajin area,
DC took stock of civic amenities and directed officers to remain vigilant in view of possible disruptions due to heavy rains and related conditions.
DC reiterated that the district administration is fully committed to ensuring uninterrupted services, better preparedness, and safety of the people during inclement weather conditions.
During the field visit, DC was accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sumbal, officers from I&FC department, Mechanical Irrigation, and other concerned departments.
