SAMBA, MARCH 23: A joint training programme was conducted by District Election Officer, Samba, Abhishek Sharma, for the Assistant Expenditure Observer and various surveillance teams here.
The session aimed to enhance the efficiency and vigilance of participating officers.
During the programme, the DEO emphasized the role and responsibility of the Flying Squad and Static Surveillance Teams in ensuring integrity of electoral process. He underscored the importance of vigilance, especially at checkpoints, to prevent any illegal movement of cash, drugs, liquor and urged prompt reporting of any violations of the Model Code of Conduct.
Furthermore, the teams were directed to upload seizure reports promptly on the ESMS portal and address complaints on the c-vigil app without delay.
The teams were also urged to remain cautious of misinformation spread through various media platforms.
