BANDIPORA, MAY 08: ARO 14-Sonawari, Aamir Choudhary who is SDM Sumbal on Wednesday organised Mehfil-e-Mushaira as part of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation, (SVEEP) initiative at Town Hall Hajin Bandipora to raise awareness about the importance of vote.
On the occasion, various prominent poets of Sonawari presented their poetry, highlighting the importance of voting and urged the public to exercise their right to franchise.
SDM while addressing the gathering said that the programme was aimed to raise awareness besides engaging more people and promote voter education and participation through literary art and expression.
On the occasion, other participants also highlighted the significance of active participation in the electoral process and urged the public to actively participate in elections.
Among others, the programme was attended by SDPO Sumbal Abid Mir, AERO (Tehsildar) Hajin Wasi ur rouf, EO MC Hajin Fayaz Ahmad, Nodal Officer Pink Polling station Dr Nuzhat Wali beside BLOs, Supervisors First time Student voters of GDC Hajin and students of HSS Hajin.
