KATHUA, AUGUST 13: A massive Tiranga Rally, marked by overwhelming public participation and patriotic fervour, was organised today in Kathua as part of the ongoing celebrations commemorating 150 years of the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’ and the 80th Independence Day.
The rally, organised by District Administration Kathua, commenced from the Sports Stadium and culminated at the District Police Lines amid enthusiastic participation from students, prominent citizens, police personnel, government officials and people from all sections of society.
Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma and SSP Mohita Sharma led the rally from the front in presence of senior officers and scores of personnel from the civil and police administration.
Carrying the Tricolour with pride, the participants marched through the city amid chanting of patriotic slogans of “Vande Mataram”, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Jai Hind.”
The enthusiastic participation of students and youth added energy and vibrancy to the event, while the presence of citizens from diverse sections reflected the inclusive and participatory spirit of the celebrations.
The rally culminated at District Police Lines, where participants holding the Tricolour came together to create three specially choreographed formations carrying powerful messages of national pride.
The first formation depicted ‘150’’ symbolising the 150 years of Vande Mataram; the second formed ‘80’ representing the 80th Independence Day; while the third and most prominent formation spelled ‘INDIA’, symbolising the strength, unity and collective spirit of the nation.
The formations, created by a large number of participants holding aloft the Tricolour, presented a striking visual spectacle and emerged as the defining highlight of the rally. The display conveyed a powerful message of national unity, patriotism and collective pride, while celebrating India’s rich national heritage and journey as a free nation.
The rally also witnessed enthusiastic participation from police personnel and civil administration officials, alongside students, youth, civil society representatives and common citizens, making it a truly people-centric celebration.
The event formed part of the series of activities being organised by the District Administration Kathua under the Har Ghar Tiranga and Vande Mataram campaigns leading up to the Independence Day celebrations.
The spectacular culmination of the rally, marked by the ‘150’, ‘80’ and ‘INDIA’ Tricolour formations, provided a befitting expression of the patriotic spirit of Kathua and the people’s collective commitment to the ideals of unity, pride and service to the nation.
