Mission Vatsalya Kupwara organizes Anti Child labour drive for identification of Children in street situation

KUPWARA, November 14: Mission Vatsalya Kupwara today organized Anti Child labour drive for identification of Children in street situation and child begging at bus stand Kupwara.

The drive was conducted under the supervision of DCPO Kupwara Mr Hidaitullah Mir.

The drive was attended by the Child welfare committee Kupwara Chairperson and Members CWC, District child protection Unit officials, Child helpline, officials from Juvenile police unit Kupwara.

During the drive 05 Children were identified as child labour and were rescued by the team who were later restored to their parents/guardians by following procedure within the ambit of JJ Act 2015.Cases against employers has been registered by CWC Kupwara under relevant provisions of the Child Labour Act and JJ Act 2015.Moreover,further action entailed under law will be taken into the matter.

Further awareness was given to the employers/owners not to engage any Child below the age of 18 years henceforth.
