BARAMULLA, JUNE 24: In a step towards the successful organization of the much-anticipated Zoon Run Festival, Baramulla 2026, the official race T-shirt, finisher medal for the event were unveiled and the website was launched during a ceremony held at Dak Bungalow Baramulla today.
The unveiling was carried out by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Baramulla, Pranjal J. Hazarika, in the presence of District Information Officer Baramulla, Iftakhar Naseem along with officers from various departments, representatives of sponsoring organizations, members of the organizing committee, and sports enthusiasts.
The unveiling ceremony marked an important milestone in the preparations for the Zoon Run Festival, which is scheduled to be held on 28th June 2026. The event is being organized with the objective of promoting fitness, healthy living, youth participation, tourism, and showcasing the rich cultural and natural heritage of Baramulla.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC Baramulla appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and associated stakeholders for conceptualizing and planning a unique sporting event that combines athletic excellence with cultural celebration.
He emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in encouraging a healthy lifestyle among youth while also highlighting the district’s immense tourism potential.
Addressing the gathering, District Information Officer, Iftakhar Naseem highlighted the importance of community participation and public awareness in ensuring the success of the festival.
Pertinently, the Zoon Run Festival 2026 has received an enthusiastic response, with over 800 participants registered so far, including more than 250 runners from outside Kashmir, highlighting the event’s growing national appeal.
