KULGAM, AUGUST 12: Continuing its efforts to check the sale and distribution of general and scheduled drugs, Drug Control department Kulgam conducted inspections of various Kulgam areas including Quimoh, Yaripora and Mohammadpora, aimed to ensure that quality medicine reaches the general public.
On spot all the 18 pharmacies inspected were found to have installed computerized billing systems for issuing cash memos to the public in compliance to the directions from Drug Controller & NCORD directives.
One pharmaceutical agency at Quimoh has been closed down u/s 22(d) of Drugs Act and another showcaused at Yaripora to explain his position for violating different conditions of license.
Earlier an awareness camp was also conducted at Yaripora where many chemists were sensitized with standard operating norms and benefits of digital inventory control & issuance of cash memos/bills to patients/customers.
