MLA Kulgam presides over distribution/ fitment camp

KULGAM, AUGUST 12: A distribution-cum-fitment camp under the Samagra Shiksha was today organized at Government Middle School Bongam.

The event, presided over by the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLSA) Kulgam, M.Y. Tarigami, was organized by Zonal Education Office Kulgam in collaboration with an expert team from ALIMCO, Kanpur for the distribution of aids and appliances among Children with Special Needs (CWSNs) assessed under the Inclusive Education initiative.

Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included DDC Chairperson, M Afazal Parray; DDC Member Kulgam-B, Gh. Mohi-ud-Din; DDC Member Qaimoh, M Abass Rather and Chief Education Officer Kulgam, M Shabir.

Addressing the gathering, MLA and other dignitaries lauded the efforts of the Education department in creating opportunities and robust support systems for CWSNs, thereby ensuring their seamless integration into the mainstream education system.

Tarigami emphasized the need for collective responsibility in ensuring greater care, inclusion, and support for such students.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, teachers, and officials of the Education department.

Various aids and appliances were distributed to CWSNs, enabling them to pursue their education with greater ease, confidence, and dignity.
