Budgam, Apr 17 : People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Srinagar Lok Sabha seat, Waheed Rahman Parra visited Charari Sharief shrine on Wednesday.

Accompanied by PDP District President Budgam Mohammad Yaseen, Party’s General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura and other senior members, Parra emphasized the importance of voter turnout during a meeting with its party workers in the community hall.

During his address, Parra as per the news agency stressed the significance of every vote and urged citizens to actively participate in the upcoming elections.

He highlighted PDP’s commitment to advocating for the rights and identity of the people, emphasizing the party’s track record of speaking up for the public even during challenging times.

In an interaction with media representatives, Parra reiterated the purpose of his visit to Charari shrif, stating that seeking blessings from the holy saint Sheikh Ul Alam was essential for starting the journey on a positive note.

He emphasized the need to overcome fear and mobilize citizens to vote for change, underscoring that the PDP stands as the voice of the people.

He expressed confidence in the party’s strength and its ability to confront governmental crackdowns, asserting that their primary competition lies not with other political parties but with the challenges imposed by the government.
