KULGAM, JULY 04: Department of DMRRR in joint collaboration with JKSDMA and DDMA Kulgam conducted a Physical Mock Exercise on GLOF Disaster in district Kulgam.
The exercise was held under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Viqar Ahmad Giri (CEO DDMA) and attended by CEO ERO, Dr Aamir Ali.
The Mock Exercise was coordinated by Consultant DDMA Kulgam, Mohammad Hanan.
All the concerned stakeholders attended the Mock Exercise. Various simulations and scenarios regarding GLOF were carried out by NDRF, SDRF, F&ES, Health Dept. During the Mock Exercise, emphasis was laid on rescue techniques and evacuation procedures during GLOF.
District administration Kulgam put all the necessary arrangements in place to make the Mock Exercise a successful event.
