Police facilitates meeting with NOKs of police martyrs in Sopore

 Srinagar: In order to express solidarity and perceive the well-being of the families of the Police Martyrs, Police in Sopore facilitated an interaction meeting with NOKs of Martyrs at DPL Sopore.

The meeting was chaired by DySP Umar Urfan-JKPS, besides other officers of Police were also present on the occasion. The meeting was attended by large number of NOKs of Police martyrs of Police District Sopore.

The meeting was organised to take stock of the welfare of the families of Police Martyrs who laid their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. The chairing officer while addressing the NOK’s of martyrs’ assured them that their grievances will be redressed on priority.

The chairing officer in his address assured the NOKs of every possible help and paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of nation. He also informed the participants about various welfare measures that are been taken by the Police Department for the welfare of the NOKs and all the Police units are committed to provide every possible assistance to the families of Police Martyrs. He further said that police martyrs are unforgettable members of Police Parivaar and taking care of their NOKs is prime responsibility of police department as the martyrs sacrificed their lives for our better future. NOKs of Police Martyrs expressed their satisfaction and hoped to further strengthen this bond.

Later, Police also visited families of Police martyrs and distributed blankets among them.
