Srinagar, Sep 25 : The voters in both uptown and downtown behave likewise in the second phase of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections on Wednesday as the large queues of electorates remained missing in almost all the places of two areas.

According to the news agency, the voters in both the places were turning up at the polling stations in intervals while almost no polling stations in both uptown and downtown witnessed the large queues of the voters.

The main downtown areas fall under tow constituencies including Habba Kadal and Khanyar where a low voter turnout was recorded.

The lowest voter turnout amongst all the constituencies was recorded in Habba Kadal till 05:00 PM at 15.80 per cent.

Since the wee hours of this morning, no large queues were witnessed anywhere in downtown areas while the situation was not different in uptown areas which fall in the assembly segment of Chanapora and parts of Lal Chowk.

At a polling booth of Rawalpora, there was a normal rush of people.

However, long queues were missing. People were coming in singles and doubles.

The rush of voters at 23-Chanapora Polling station was no different. Electorates were coming in singles and doubles there as well.

At 5 Pm, the poll percentage of Chanapora constituency was 26.95 percent and 30.44 percent at Lal Chowk assembly constituency.

Similar situation was witnessed in Habbkadal and Khaniyar constituency.
