BHADERWAH, OCTOBER 17: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sunil Kumar Bhutyal on Saturday chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of developmental works being taken up in the Bhaderwah town (Municipal area).

Detailed discussions were held on the civic issues, ongoing developmental projects and measures to improve public amenities.

The concerned authorities were directed to remove encroachments along Irrigation channels and ensure proper monitoring of developmental works at Munahi-Kul.

The Jal Shakti Department was instructed to address water leakage issues, maintain proper drainage and take immediate steps to prevent the overflow of water from service stations onto roads to ensure public convenience and road safety.

The Municipal Committee was directed to construct additional public toilets across the town, install dustbins at suitable places and ensure the proper maintenance of streetlights. The department was also instructed to make necessary arrangements for a new kitchen shed at the Community Hall and undertake chain-link fencing along the riverside to enhance public safety.

Additionally, the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department was directed to expedite the ongoing lane and drain construction works, address public grievances and ensure the timely completion of all assigned projects within the stipulated timeframe. The department was further asked to complete the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of remaining areas within two days.

The meeting was attended by officials in both virtual and offline modes. CEO BDA and Executive Engineer R&B participated virtually, while Executive Engineer Irrigation, Executive Officer MCB, Junior Engineer R&B and Junior Engineer Jal Shakti attended the meeting in person.
