REASI, MARCH 5: In an effort to educate the public about the newly enacted criminal laws—Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023—the District Administration Reasi organized a comprehensive mass awareness program at Block Panthal, Reasi. The initiative aims to ensure that citizens are well-informed about these transformative legal reforms and their implications.
Additional Distirict Magistrate Rakesh Kumar, SDM Katra Piyush Dhotra, SDPO Katra Bhisham Dubey, Tehsildar Katra, BDO Panthal were present during the awareness program.
They engaged in interactive discussions with public, addressing queries and concerns regarding the implementation of these reforms.
In the awareness programme, emphasis was given on the significance of widespread legal awareness. They highlighted how these changes will have a positive impact on society, particularly benefiting women and children through strengthened protective measures.
Additional District Magistrate highlighted that more awareness campaigns regarding new laws will be conducted at the different parts of Reasi.
He said that the administration remains committed to fostering legal literacy and ensuring that every citizen understands their rights and responsibilities under the new legal framework.
