Jammu, Apr 04 : Ahead of the Parliamentary elections, Reasi police conducted a flag march in Mahore town of the district in which police as well as central reserve forces also participated.
The march was conducted on the directions of SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma.
According to the news agency, the flag march passed through Ransoo Town, main market, Bus Stand, Mahore Town and tempo stand and it was aimed at instilling a sense of security. “The aim of organizing the flag March is to instill a sense of security and harmony in society and to ensure free and fair elections in the District,” SSP Reasi said.
The Flag march, marked by enthusiasm and solidarity, witnessed active participation from officers including deputy commanding officer central armed police force (CAPF), Dy. SP headquarters Reasi Neeraj Padyar, SDPO Mahore Ajaz Choudhary and other officers from Police and CAPF.
During the flag March participants were given a general briefing regarding election duties and responsibilities of forces in ensuring free and fair elections. The briefing also covered familiarization of area, area domination, sensitivities and confidence building measures.
“Traversing through major thoroughfares and key intersections, the flag march served as a platform to disseminate vital security information and instill a sense of collective responsibility among citizens,” police spokesman said.
