KATHUA, MARCH 25: In a proactive step towards improving road infrastructure, the District Administration Kathua has launched an extensive drive to repair potholes and ensure proper leveling of roads across the Municipal limits of Kathua Municipal Council. This initiative aims to provide a smoother commuting experience for residents, ease vehicular movement and enhance urban mobility.

The resurfacing work is being carried out systematically, with priority given to roads in the worst condition.
The initiative has been taken by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rakesh Minhas to improve road quality in a time-bound manner. He assured that the ongoing works would be completed efficiently, ensuring long-term durability of the roads. He further emphasized that good road infrastructure is essential for public convenience and that the administration is making every effort to address road-related grievances at the earliest.

Under this drive, key locations have been identified where road conditions require urgent attention. High-quality materials are being used to ensure that the resurfaced roads remain durable and withstand changing weather conditions. Special attention is being given to ensuring smooth and safe movement for both vehicles and pedestrians, reducing the inconvenience caused by potholes and uneven surfaces. The administration has deployed dedicated teams working round the clock to complete the project swiftly while maintaining the highest construction standards.

The District Administration Kathua urges residents to cooperate during the execution of this important work. Efforts are being made to minimize disruptions while ensuring timely completion of the resurfacing drive. This initiative is part of the administration’s broader vision of strengthening civic infrastructure and improving public welfare. Similar development projects will continue to be undertaken in the coming months to enhance overall urban facilities for the people of Kathua.
