SAMBA, MARCH 07: The District Administration Samba today organised a special awareness program “SASHAKT NARI SAMAN” to mark observance of International Women’s Day here, in the conference hall of the DC office.
The event featured the felicitation of women achievers, elected representatives and other female guests.
Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the event and spoke on women’s rights, pertinent legislation and preventive measures to eradicate gender- based discrimination.
ACR, Kusum Chib highlighted the role and importance of women in nation building.
The event was conducted by the Department of Social Welfare Samba and was attended by several officials, including SSP Samba, Vinay Kumar, Sukhleen Kour (Director Planning Higher Education), Sunaina Saini (SDM Ghagwal), Nidhi Arora (District Treasury Officer Samba), Nawaz Sharif (DSWO Samba), Sheetal (CDPO Samba), Shakil Shan (Tehsildar Ghagwal), Arti Sharma (Centre Administrator OSC Samba) among others.
