SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 26: District Samba witnessed a series of impactful activities today under the ongoing celebration of Sewa Parv 2025, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to public service and community development across various sectors.
A significant workshop focusing on Stock Reporting and Consumer Facilitation was organized at the Tehsil Supply Office, Ghagwal, bringing together Fair Price Shop Dealers to ensure transparency and accountability in the public distribution system.
The programme emphasized the critical importance of timely submission of stock details, effective redressal of consumer grievances and maintaining strict accountability in distribution processes, ultimately aimed at improving consumer-centric services throughout the district.
In another notable initiative, the Faculty of ITI Samba conducted an awareness session for Self Help Group members at Vijaypur. This insightful session highlighted various Skill Development Schemes available to participants, emphasized the transformative power of entrepreneurship, and presented opportunities under Mission YUVA. The programme successfully inspired participants to explore new avenues of self-reliance and sustainable growth, contributing to the broader vision of economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
The spirit of Sewa Parv was further exemplified through the active participation of students in the Udyam Yuva Fest 2025 held at Government Polytechnic College, Samba. Students demonstrated their diverse talents and skills through various competitive events including Quiz competitions, Essay Writing, Speech contests, and Painting exhibitions, showcasing the educational excellence and creative potential of the district’s technical education system.
Additionally, under the nutrition and healthcare component of Sewa Parv, specialized sessions called “Poshan Choupal” were conducted across all Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) in District Samba. These sessions specifically engaged fathers and male family members in discussions about child nutrition and caregiving practices, promoting gender-inclusive approaches to child welfare and recognizing the crucial role of male caregivers in ensuring proper nutrition and care for children.
