KULGAM, MARCH 11: A one day seminar with the motive ‘Promoting Medicinal Plants Sector as alternative source of employment’ was organized by the Directorate of Ayush and Medicinal Plants board in convergence with KVK Pombay and Agriculture department Kulgam.
The seminar was attended by farmers belonging to tribal areas and other locals.
Senior Scientist and Head KVK Kulgam was the chief guest on the occasion, while District Agriculture Officer Kulgam was guest of honour, besides Technical officer Medicinal Plants, and Progressive farmers of medicinal plants also attended the event.
The District Nodal Officer, Ayush Kulgam gave a general introduction cum information speech, while the Technical Officer Medicinal Plants from Department of Ayush Kulgam raised awareness among the attendants about schemes, scope and importance of cultivating medicinal plants.
