SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 30: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Faz Lul Haseeb, today chaired a review meeting to assess the execution, performance, and overall functioning of the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) projects and the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) in Srinagar.
During the meeting, the Commissioner conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the progress achieved under EESL, which focuses on promoting energy-efficient infrastructure and sustainable solutions across the city.
The review included project implementation timelines, adherence to quality standards, and the long-term impact of energy conservation measures on urban services.
He also reviewed functioning of ITMS which is designed to modernize traffic management and enhance road safety. He also reviewed system integration, operational efficiency, traffic monitoring mechanisms, and the technology’s role in ensuring smooth vehicular movement and reducing congestion.
Faz Lul Haseeb emphasized the importance of timely execution, sustained performance, and proactive coordination among all implementing agencies and stakeholders. He directed officers to promptly identify and address operational gaps, ensuring that both EESL and ITMS deliver maximum benefits to the residents of Srinagar.
