RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 20: The fourth day of the ongoing Sewa Parv, being observed from September 17 to October 2, 2025, was marked by a series of welfare activities, environmental initiatives, and awareness programmes in Rajouri district.

Under the initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, students across government schools planted tree saplings, instilling in them a sense of responsibility towards Environment.

The Rural Development Department also carried out plantation drives near Amrit Sarovars to promote water conservation and strengthen local biodiversity. Cleanliness of Amrit Sarovar bodies was also taken up at Kalakote.
Free medical camps were organised across Government Degree Colleges providing students free consultations and basic diagnostics.

College teams also visited old age homes to extend care and support. Meanwhile, the second day of the Donation Drive at Government PG College Rajouri witnessed contributions amounting to ₹12,500.

The Health Department facilitated mass registrations under Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY to expand the reach of health insurance. The Social Welfare Department generated ABHA IDs to strengthen digital health records. Urban Local Bodies conducted special cleanliness drives in towns and also created awareness among street vendors regarding PM SVANidhi.

The Labour Department, in coordination with Akhil Bharatiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh, organised an awareness camp at Town Hall Rajouri on labour welfare schemes of the J&K Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (JKBOCWB), enabling workers to know their rights and entitlements.

Other services offered included registration under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), SILK Samagra-2, Daksh uploading, and a cleanliness campaign at the Sericulture Complex, Chatyar.
