PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 23: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations, a vibrant set of activities were organised today across Pulwama district by different departments, focusing on youth engagement, cleanliness, awareness, and community service.
Rural Development Department (RDD) conducted Clean Green Utsav promoting eco-friendly practices and zero-waste festivities at the block level. Special cleanliness drives were also undertaken in market areas, public places & Amrit Sarovars.
Adding to the spirit of the fortnight-long campaign, District Youth Services & Sports (DYSS) mobilised students and volunteers through sports activities, awareness drives, and plantation initiatives. These efforts aimed at spreading the values of teamwork, service, and youth participation in social responsibility.
Further, awareness sessions were organised for Self-Help Group (SHG) members on improved livestock rearing practices, alongside digital literacy and cyber hygiene camps to empower citizens with essential knowledge
The celebrations of Sewa Parv will continue in the coming days with a series of programmes aimed at deepening public awareness, encouraging volunteerism, and fostering inclusive community development.
