SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 02: Department of Social Welfare, Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW), Mission Shakti Shopian, as the sponsoring body, in collaboration with RSETI, today inaugurated a Skill Development Centre for Cutting & Tailoring at Sofipora Zainapora, Shopian.
The centre was inaugurated by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zainapora in the presence of the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Shopian and the General Manager RSETI.
This centre marks the fifth Skill Development Centre established by Mission Shakti Shopian, underlining its continued commitment to women’s empowerment and livelihood generation across the district.
Local girls and women expressed happiness and gratitude, stating that the new centre gives them hope, confidence, and a path towards self-reliance.
The centre shall have capacity of training 30 persons for a duration of 30 days.
