Srinagar: Srinagar Sunday Market witnessed a crisp business amid the construction work going on in the heart of the city.
“The last days of Ramadan brought a festive-like hustle and bustle to Sunday market,” said a slope-seller. He however said that intermittent rains played a spoilsport.
Reports said that people from other districts thronged the market and were seen buying the required items, much to the satisfaction of the vendors.
“This Eid markets are not packed with visitors due to construction work but today the flea market witnessed a huge rush,’ a vendor told news agency Kashmir News Trust.
“We see people visiting the Sunday market during the day till evening,” he said, adding that “non-locals also visited in good numbers.”
Everyone is happy and enjoying the Ramadan activities, he remarked. [KNT]
