UDHAMPUR, APRIL 25: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting with the Heads of Government Degree Colleges to deliberate on the three-day inter-college fest being held under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh ; Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Bhat ; along with other senior officers.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the College Principals to prepare a comprehensive plan for the event and submit the same within a week. He emphasized that teams from each college shall participate in the fest, ensuring maximum involvement of students.

Highlighting the objective of the initiative, the DC stated that the three-day inter-college fest aims to actively engage youth in constructive and creative pursuits. The event will feature a range of activities, including essay writing, symposiums, painting competitions and other interactive programmes, all designed to spread awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among students.
