Usman Majid expresses concerns over selected transfer of teachers to Gurez, seeks LG’s intervention

Srinagar, OCT 10: Apni Party’s Vice President, Usman Majid, Expresses Profound Concerns Over Recent Actions by the Education Department, Urges LG’s Interventions.

Apni Party’s Vice President and former legislator, Usman Majid, has voiced deep apprehension regarding the recent actions taken by the education department, which he believes have led to a significant breach of the annual transfer policy.

In a strongly-worded statement, Mr. Majid shed light on the serious issues arising from the reported transfer of selected teachers from Bandipora and Sonawari to Gurez, especially during the ongoing academic session.

These transfers, which took place a few months ago according to Mr. Majid, have caused extensive disruptions, affecting both the impacted educators and their students.

Majid underscored a critical aspect of these transfers, emphasizing that the people of Gurez speak a different language compared to the teachers who were relocated from Bandipora.

This language barrier presents a substantial challenge in effective communication and understanding between the teachers and the students.

Furthermore, he expressed deep disappointment in the inclusion of teachers on the verge of retirement in these transfers, labeling it as an unfortunate decision.

Highlighting a specific concern, Majid stated, “The RET teachers of Tulail are attached in Dawar, and most of the teachers from Gurez are attached in Bandipora and Srinagar.

This situation is very unfortunate, and the government should immediately detach them without any further delay.

The tall claims of the government regarding the teachers’ detachment prove to be a hoax and are not visible on the ground.”

He also raised concerns about the employees transferred from the CEO office in Bandipora who are still holding their positions there and have not been detached yet, potentially creating a nexus of corruption.

He said that both the people of Bandipora and Gurez are angry with this decision of education department.

The annual transfer policy, established to ensure fairness, efficiency, and stability within the education system, outlines a systematic approach for teacher transfers.

Majid stressed the significance of this policy in maintaining the integrity of the education system and expressed deep disappointment over the alleged neglect of it by the Education Department.

“It is disheartening to witness the Education Department neglecting this crucial policy, thereby disregarding the best interests of our educators and compromising the quality of education received by our students,” Majid stated, conveying his profound disappointment.

Additionally, Majid raised concerns about potential vested interests behind these transfers, hinting that they might have been executed as part of a pre-planned agenda.

He called for transparency and accountability in this matter, urging a thorough investigation to uncover any motives that might be undermining the stability of the educational system.

In his appeal to the Secretary Education, Director Education and Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Majid requested a reconsideration of their decisions regarding these teacher transfers, taking into account the adverse impact on both the affected educators and the students’ education.

In conclusion, Usman Majid, Apni Party’s Vice President, urged the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, to treat this matter with the utmost seriousness and ensure that the annual transfer policy is upheld and respected to preserve the sanctity of the education system.
