Kulgam, Apr 24 : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday said that people must vote for the candidates, who they really think will raise voice of people in Parliament

Addressing a workers’ meeting in Kulgam, Mehbooba Mufti as per the news agency said that people must vote for those who they really think can become their voice in parliament as “our voices have been choked for years together.”

“I will not play a blame game as it is a matter of identity and dignity,” she said, adding that the dignity, land and resources are under attack and she will highlight such issues in the parliament if voted to power.

She further added that people are unable to talk as hundreds have been kept in jails and the atmosphere will definitely change if people will vote for the candidates, who will raise their voice in parliament.

Mehbooba further added that PDP has done work for welfare of all tribes that is why she is expecting all tribes to vote in her favour.

She further added that the manifesto of the Congress or INDI Alliance has unnerved BJP as the alliance has mentioned that 50 per cent reservation will be given to women, MSP will be provided to farmers.

She said that for the first time in 70 years such a pro-people manifesto has been released that has completely unnerved BJP.

Meanwhile, District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Shopian, Bilkeesa Jan joined the People’s Democratic Party in Kulgam.

As per the details, Bilkeesa Jan, who won DDC elections as independent candidate and later joined Apni Party, today joined PDP in Okay area of Kulgam in presence of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti and other leaders.

Earlier, a DDC member from Pulwama joined PDP in Rajpora area of Pulwama.
