Woman from UP dies,7 injured in road accident at Qazigund

Srinagar, Dec 30: A woman from Uttar Pradesh died and seven were injured in a road accident at South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday, officials said.
The ill fated vehicle was on way to Srinagar from Jammu and skidded off the road at Zig Post at Qazigund on Srinagar-Jammu national highway after the driver lost control over it due to slippery road conditions and it fell into a deep gorge.
A woman identified as Sheeba Iraqi , wife of Ateequllah Iraqi resident of Lucknow died on the spot while seven suffered multiple injuries.
Among the injured two were admitted to Public Health Centre (PHC) Veeranag from where they were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag and others were taken to emergency hospital Qazigund for treatment, they added.
