SHOPIAN, MARCH 15: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian in collaboration with the Department of Food Civil Services & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) today organized an awareness program on ‘World Consumer Rights Day’ in the Conference Hall, ADR Centre District Court Complex, Shopian.
As per the calendar of activities envisaged for March 2025, the program was conducted under guidance of Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge) and the supervision of Secretary DLSA Shopian, Mudasar Farooq.
Resource persons on the occasion highlighted the significance and importance of ‘World Consumer Rights Day.’ They also raised awareness on consumer rights, consumer protection and empowerment from unfair treatment or market exploitation that could compromise their rights.
Later, the queries were raised by participants and the resource persons responded positively.
The program was attended by DLSA Staff, Para Legal Volunteers of DLSA Shopian and locals besides officials of FCS&CA.
