In an inspiring display of Kashmiri hospitality, senior political leader Zafar Habib Dar senior leader apni party set up a traditional Kashmiri Kehwa stall at the iconic Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk, Srinagar. The event was aimed at welcoming non-local visitors to Kashmir and reinforcing the region’s longstanding tradition of warmth and hospitality. The soothing aroma of saffron-infused kehwa filled the air as visitors gathered to enjoy the cherished Kashmiri drink, which symbolizes warmth and generosity.

While addressing the media, Zafar Habib Dar emphasized that Kashmir has always been a land of unparalleled hospitality, where every guest is treated with utmost respect. “Our culture teaches us to welcome every visitor as part of our family. Today, we are showcasing that spirit here at Lal Chowk. No matter where you come from, Kashmir is a place of love, care, and harmony,” he said.

Dar also took the opportunity to condemn a recent incident in Haryana, where some individuals reportedly misbehaved with Kashmiri people. “We strongly denounce such acts of hostility. Kashmiris have always opened their doors and hearts to people from across the country. Such incidents are unacceptable and go against the values of humanity and mutual respect,” he remarked.

The senior leader urged the authorities in Haryana to conduct a thorough investigation and take strict action against those responsible. “Justice must be served, and steps should be taken to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. It is our collective responsibility to protect and respect every individual, regardless of their background,” he added.

Dar’s initiative at Lal Chowk not only drew praise from locals and visitors but also sent a powerful message about the essence of Kashmiri culture. Many non-local visitors expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality they received.

In conclusion, Zafar Habib Dar reaffirmed Kashmir’s commitment to its heritage of kindness and urged everyone to work together to strengthen bonds of unity and respect. The event at Lal Chowk served as a reminder of Kashmir’s unique ability to bridge divides and foster mutual understanding through simple, heartfelt gestures like a cup of kehwa.
