SAMBA, JULY 29: The five-day NEP Utsav 2025 commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony here at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Samba, commemorating the 5th Anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The event was organized by the Chief Education Officer with a special emphasis on inclusion and empowerment of Children with Special Needs (CWSN).

The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma as the Chief Guest, who formally inaugurated the NEP Utsav. He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Ajay Bharti, Chief Education Officer Samba Kewal Krishan, Principal GHSS Samba Smt. Bhavana Abrol and Sh. Deepak Thakur from Bharti Airtel Foundation.

In his keynote address, DC Rajesh Sharma highlighted the revolutionary vision of NEP 2020 in transforming Indian education and stressed the importance of inclusivity, equity, and accessibility in education. He lauded the efforts of the education department in ensuring that CWSN students are not left behind in the journey toward educational excellence.

A special feature of the inaugural day was a distribution camp for CwSN students, where aids and appliances recommended for them were distributed by DC Rajesh Sharma along with CEO Kewal Krishan, enabling them to access learning with greater ease and confidence. The camp witnessed active participation from children, parents, and educators, reinforcing the commitment of the administration toward inclusive education.

The NEP Utsav 2025 will continue till August 2, 2025, with various educational, cultural, and capacity-building activities lined up, focusing on holistic development, inclusion, and future-ready learning in line with NEP 2020.
