JAMMU, NOVEMBER 14: The Deputy Directorate of Local Fund Audit and Pensions-Jammu, under the leadership of Deputy Director, Prem Lata Patial, on Friday organised a special programme on Audit Divas to highlight recent audit initiatives, reforms and achievements aimed at strengthening transparency and accountability in public financial management.
The programme began with a welcome address and Opening Remarks, followed by an address by Director General Local Fund Audit and Pensions, Neeraj Bakshi, who attended the event as the Guest of Honour. In her address, she emphasised the department’s continued efforts to modernise audit processes and reinforce efficiency across local governing bodies.
A detailed Presentation on Audit Initiatives and Audit Reforms was delivered, focusing on innovative practices adopted to enhance audit quality and support good governance. Adding an interactive element, a skit performance highlighted the significance of audit awareness, responsibility and ethical financial conduct.
The event also recognised outstanding departmental contributions through the Felicitation of Officers and Officials under the Audit Star Awards. Accounts Officers from various Urban Local Bodies attended the programme and appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the department.
Participants together took the Audit Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to transparency, integrity and professional excellence in public financial administration.
