UDHAMPUR, MAY 07: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation and progress of the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore; PO Poshan Subash Dogra; Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh and other concerned officers.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to expand the scheme’s coverage among unorganized sector workers to ensure that maximum eligible beneficiaries are brought under the ambit of social security benefits. He highlighted that the PM-SYM scheme is designed to secure the future of workers who lack access to formal social security mechanisms.

The DC issued necessary directions to all concerned line departments to intensify grassroots-level awareness and mobilization activities to ensure wider outreach in the district.

“Departments should identify eligible beneficiaries within their respective jurisdictions and facilitate their enrolment through focused field-level initiatives,” he stressed.

Emphasizing coordinated and dedicated efforts, the Deputy Commissioner urged all officers to work in close synergy to achieve full saturation under the PM-SYM scheme within the stipulated timeframe.
