KUPWARA, AUGUST 11: A grand Tiranga Rally was organised today at the iconic Vibrant Village Teetwal, Karnah, as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign being observed from 9th to 17th August 2026, aimed at reinforcing patriotic fervor and public participation in the celebration of the National Flag.
The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse and SSP Kupwara, Tahir Gilani from HS Gundi Sharti, culminating at Teetwal ground with enthusiastic participation from students of various schools, ex-servicemen, Lumberdars, officials, and local residents.
A large number of students participated in the rally, carrying the Tricolour and showcasing their patriotism, unity, and respect for the National Flag. The participating clusters were felicitated with Certificates of Appreciation by the District Administration Kupwara for their enthusiastic participation and contribution towards the successful conduct of the event.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the overwhelming response and urged everyone to further strengthen the spirit of patriotism by actively participating in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and celebrating the pride and honour associated with the National Flag.
He highlighted that the campaign aims to instil a sense of national pride and encourage citizens to hoist the Tricolour at their homes, reaffirming their commitment towards the nation and its vision of a Viksit Bharat @2047.
The Sub-Divisional Administration Karnah has already been conducting a series of events under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign to promote awareness and public participation. The Mega Tiranga Rally was coordinated under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, Mohd Raiyaz, who was designated as the Nodal Officer for the event.
The programme concluded with a renewed pledge by all participants to uphold the dignity of the Tricolour and carry forward the message of unity, pride, and patriotism.
The event was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kupwara, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP) Kupwara, sector officers, and officials from various departments, who actively participated in the celebrations and extended their support for the successful conduct of the rally.
