SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 22: Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan today chaired a meeting to review the progress and implementation of the Vibrant Villages Programme-II (VVP-II) in the district.
The Central Sector Scheme envisages comprehensive development of the border villages.
The meeting focused on assessing the status of various developmental initiatives under VVP-II and ensuring effective implementation of the programme in the identified villages.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress achieved so far and took detailed feedback from the concerned departments regarding ongoing and proposed works.
Additionally, Ayushi Sudan stressed the need for close inter-departmental coordination, timely execution of projects and effective utilisation of resources to ensure that the objectives of VVP-II are achieved in a time-bound manner. She directed the officers to maintain regular monitoring of the works and address bottlenecks, if any, promptly.
The Deputy Commissioner underscored that the programme should lead to tangible improvements in basic infrastructure, livelihood opportunities and overall socio-economic development of the identified villages.
The meeting was attended by CPO, ACD, ACR and representatives of the concerned departments.
