GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 29: The Branch MSME Development & Facilitation Office (DFO), Srinagar, Ministry of MSME in collaboration with the District Administration, Ganderbal, today organised an awareness programme under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme at Ganderbal.
The programme focused on product packaging, branding, marketing, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and digital financial services and was attended by more than 130 participants.
The programme was chaired by A.K. Tamaria, Joint Director, MSME DFO Jammu, Ministry of MSME, GoI along with the officials of Branch MSME DFO Srinagar.
The programme aimed to sensitise artisans and beneficiaries about various aspects of enterprise development and the support available under the PM Vishwakarma initiative.
The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) conducted a session on product packaging and branding, highlighting the importance of attractive packaging, brand identity and effective product presentation for enhancing marketability.
The J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) delivered a session on entrepreneurship, covering key aspects of enterprise development, business management and opportunities available for artisans.
PMU official delivered a presentation on Artificial Intelligence (AI), highlighting the use of AI tools for business promotion, content creation, marketing and other entrepreneurial activities.
Officials from India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) facilitated the onboarding of participants and generation of QR codes, enabling them to access digital payment facilities and promote cashless transactions.
Representatives from J&K Bank and the District Industries Centre (DIC), Ganderbal, also participated in the programme and apprised participants about financial services, institutional support and various schemes and facilities available to artisans and micro entrepreneurs.
The programme provided an interactive platform for participants to gain knowledge about branding, packaging, entrepreneurship, AI and digital payments, while facilitating access to financial and institutional support for strengthening their enterprises and improving market linkages.
