KULGAM, JUNE 23: To promote road safety and responsible driving habits among commuters and transporters, Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) Kulgam today organized a traffic awareness programme at Laroo Bus Stand.
The event witnessed participation from drivers, transport workers and members of the general public. Programme aimed to educate participants about traffic rules, importance of wearing helmets and seatbelts, avoiding overloading, and the dangers of drunk and rash driving.
Speaking on the occasion, ARTO Kulgam, Dr Showkat Ahmad emphasized the need for collective responsibility in ensuring road safety. He urged drivers and commuters to strictly adhere to traffic regulations, for their own safety and for the safety of others.
The awareness programme included interactive session and on-spot counseling of drivers regarding safe driving practices.
