Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, reviewed the status of land acquisition for the ongoing National Highway NH-144A and BRO roads in the district.
The NH-144 project spans 40 km in the district, affecting 17 villages and approximately 250 structures. It was reported that land acquisition is nearly complete and emphasized the need to expedite efforts to finish the remaining 30 km within the next 6 to 7 months.
The DC inquired about the total compensation amounts, including what has been disbursed and what remains pending. A detailed discussion was held regarding the current status of land acquisition issues and the actions taken by relevant authorities.
