Agriculture Department Jammu accords warm send off to retirees

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 30: The Directorate of Agriculture Jammu today bid a warm and affectionate farewell to Additional Mission Director HADP J&K/Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Jammu Satish Sharma; AAO Ashok Kumar and Gardner Kanshi Ram, who superannuated after rendering more than 35 years of dedicated service to the Department.

A heartfelt farewell function was organized at the Directorate to honour the retirees for their remarkable contribution to the Department and the farming community. Director Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Jammu Anil Gupta graced the occasion and extended his best wishes to the retiring officers.

In his address, the Director lauded exemplary service, professionalism, and unwavering commitment of retiring officials towards agricultural development and farmers’ welfare.

Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs) Jammu, and Aman Jyoti Sharma, Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Kashmir, also conveyed their warm wishes and heartfelt appreciation to the retirees. They acknowledged the invaluable contributions made by Satish Sharma and colleagues, wishing them happiness, good health and success in the new phase of life.

Warm wishes for a healthy, peaceful and prosperous post-retirement life were also extended by officers and staff from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir Division. As a token of appreciation and respect, mementoes were presented to the retirees on behalf of the Department.

The farewell programme concluded on an emotional yet celebratory note, marked by touching speeches, fond recollections and heartfelt best wishes from colleagues. Sandeep Dogra, SMS conducted the proceedings of the programme.
