Assembly Elections- 2024 Bhung Destruction drive held at Aglar, Zainapora

SHOPIAN, AUGUST 27: As part of a series of measures being implemented in view of the upcoming Assembly elections, a bhung destruction drive was today held in Aglar village of Zainapora, Shopian

The drive, conducted under the supervision of the Expenditure Observer, Nelapatla Ashok Babu, was held by the Department of Excise, Shopian.

This operation was carried out in coordination with local law enforcement agencies to eradicate illegal cultivation of bhung in the area to ensure a drug-free and peaceful environment for the electoral process.

General public of the area have widely appreciated the action taken by the Authorities and assured their full cooperation in future to eradicate the drug menace from the Society.

The administration assures that strict action will continue to be taken against such unlawful activities in the district.
